The iconic Muttart Conservatory reopens in Edmonton this week!

Wee-woo, folks, this is not a drill! After just under two years of waiting, we can finally head back to the Muttart Conservatory starting this week! In anticipation of the province moving to Phase 2, the Edmonton landmark is opening its doors once again! Here’s what you need to know.

Muttart Conservatory originally closed in July, 2019 for a massive renovation and general upkeep project. While the majority of the work was replacing older parts of (mostly unseen) infrastructure, guests will notice some new touches on the finishing and the lighting inside. After all, why mess with a good thing?

The work cost some $13M to complete, but the project finished both on time and within the budget earlier this year. Plus, staff stuck around during the project (and the pandemic) to make sure all the plants in there were properly taken care of. And now, we finally get to see it again in all its glory.

The Muttart Conservatory officially reopens this Friday, June 11th. In order to comply with public health measures, guests will need to book a time online prior to their visit. So, we think it’s time we start texting our friends and seeing if they’re interested in a visit to this iconic Edmonton attraction once more.

Our money’s on ‘yes’.

When: Opens Friday, June 11th
Where: 9626 96a St NW
