The first week of July was the coldest in Seattle in 15 years!

So at this point, we’re sure you’ve noticed that July has been off to a slow start. And while Seattle summer normally starts mid-July, we’re not feeling the heat. Instead, things have been abnormally chilly. In fact, this is the coldest first week of July that Seattle has seen in 15 years. Brrrr.

But that being said, you also may have not noticed. After all, it’s not insanely cold. We’re about 2 degrees below what’s normal for this time of year. So while it’s really not that bad, we’ve definitely had warmer summers. And on that note, it means we might have a chilly summer this year. But an emphasis on might, we don’t want to jinx anything.

And if you’d like to learn more about our cold snap you can click here and here. Because quite a few people have noticed that this July is extra cold. And that means that everyone has a bit of a different interpretation.
