The first-ever subscription e-bike service is now in Vancouver & here’s where to find them

One of the many perks of living in a city that is as forward-thinking and as environmentally conscious as Vancouver is that all things awesome become the norm pretty quickly. And so it happened with e-bikes too. They take you places without any traffic frustration, they’re a cost-effective transit, they’re eco-friendly and they’re fun to ride. The drawback: they come with quite a price tag and their upkeep is still a lesser-known territory. So, it came as very pleasant news that Zygg is now in Vancouver.

Now, if you’re an e-bike enthusiast, you’ve obviously heard of them. But for the uninitiated, Zygg is Canada’s first-ever e-bike subscription service. After their successful launch in Toronto- thanks to their convenience and affordability (subscription starts at $49)- they’ve finally set up shop in Vancouver this March.

What that means is that you can now rent an e-bike, ride it all you want and not worry about servicing or anything else for that matter.

In addition to providing light e-bikes with long-range batteries and quick service, Zygg will also send you a new one, in case yours needs some fixing. They currently have three different models to choose from. So, you can pick one based on whether you need it for personal use, deliveries or some other gigs.

To top it all, signing up for the subscription is as easy as riding a bike (pun very much intended). All you have to do is pick an e-bike model, choose a plan (weekly, quarterly or annually) and you’re done. Told you, it was convenient.

If you’re fantasizing about a wonderful evening (or morning, if you prefer that) ride minus the sweat and your fave playlist blasting through your Air Pods, well, we’re with you.

Here, check out their website for all the deets on their bikes, plans and more.
