Happy first day of March, Vancouver! Sunny spring days and cherry blossom blooms are just around the corner. Looking ahead to the end of the month – Vancouver’s Cherry Blossom Festival will officially return, as will The Big Picnic.
As one of the festival’s most popular events of the year, The Big Picnic attracts hundreds of attendees from across the city in celebration of Dr. David Lam’s donation of cherry trees to the City of Vancouver and the friendships that transpire under Vancouver’s beautiful spring blossoms.
The event commences with a special tree dedication ceremony featuring representatives from the Musqueam, Squamish, and Tsleil-Waututh Nations as well as friends of the Japanese Consulate.
Participants will get to enjoy a lineup of local talent on the Cherry Jam Stage as well as a variety of interactive arts activities – so stay tuned for more info as it comes!
