Canadian Swifties won’t have to travel far to celebrate the release of Taylor Swift’s 12th studio album, The Life of a Showgirl. For a limited time only, fans can head to Cineplex to watch her upcoming music video, behind-the-scenes footage, and more. Here’s what to know.
From Oct. 3 to 5, 2025, fans can visit Cineplex locations in Canada to experience the global release event. The nearly 90-minute show will feature the world premiere of the music video for “The Fate of Ophelia,” BTS footage from the shoot, brand-new lyric videos, and Taylor’s personal reflections on her latest album.
It’s the ultimate fan event.
“You’ll get to see the exclusive world premiere of the music video for my new single, ‘The Fate of Ophelia,’ along with never-before-seen behind-the-scenes footage of how we made it, cut by cut explanations of what inspired this music, and the brand new lyric videos from my new album, The Life of a Showgirl,” shares Taylor Swift on Instagram.
Tickets for Canadian showtimes will go on sale Sept. 23, 2025 at 3 p.m. local time, giving fans just over a week to secure their spots before the three-day run.
“We can proudly confirm, Cineplex will be showing TAYLOR SWIFT | THE OFFICIAL RELEASE PARTY OF A SHOWGIRL in theatres across the country,” states a Cineplex rep to Curiocity. More details are set to come on Tuesday.
And considering it’s Taylor Swift, demand will be high. It’s like trying to secure Ariana Grande concert tickets all over again.
This is a worldwide event with screenings in 18 countries. The screenings will begin simultaneously across multiple time zones, starting at 3 p.m. EDT on Oct. 3, 2025.
For Swifties who missed out on tickets to her record-breaking Eras Tour, this release party might be the next best thing.
So grab your popcorn, wear your sequins, and get ready. You don’t want to miss this.
When: Oct. 3 to 5, 2025
