It won’t be long until Taylor Swift officially brings The Eras Tour to Canada, but it’s certainly not the first time she’s played a show in the Great North.
In addition to places like Vancouver and Toronto, the country’s only two cities on her 2024 hit list, the star has played several shows in Alberta.
It was a “Love Story” in 2009 when Taylor Swift played two shows in Alberta on the Fearless Tour—her first ever.
On July 8th, she took Calgary’s (then) Pengrowth Saddledome for the first and last time, then headed north to Edmonton’s Commonwealth Stadium for a show on the 9th.
It was a summer to remember!
With a setlist that included hits like Sparks Fly and Enchanted, Taylor’s second tour was bigger and better but lacked a stop in Calgary.
Instead, Swift performed twice at Edmonton’s Rexall Place in the summer of 2011.
In 2013, Taylor Swift set off on The Red Tour across North America, Europe, Asia, New Zealand, and Australia.
With a high-energy set list and surprise songs, the Canadian leg included a performance by opening act Ed Sheeran and two stops in Edmonton on June 25th and 26th.
Edmonton’s Wildest Dreams came true when the star announced she would be bringing The 1989 World Tour to Canada once again.
With two shows at Rexall Place, Swifites got to Shake It Off in Alberta for the last time.
Sadly for fans, her next big show, the Reputation Stadium Tour, did not include a stop in Wild Rose Country.
Likewise, The Eras Tour will also skip the province but has six set dates in Toronto this November, and three shows in Vancouver in December.
Want to snag tickets? Unfortunately, they are sold out via Ticketmaster, but you can purchase them via resale—though it certainly won’t be cheap.
Here’s hoping that more shows are added.
Maybe in Calgary or Edmonton?
