Taylor Swift bought the giant inflatable ‘Eras’ bracelet that hung in Vancouver and Toronto

There is a catalogue of things that we’ll remember from the time Taylor Swift brought The Eras Tour to Canada. We weren’t there, of course, but thanks to social media, it felt like we had front-row seats.

The ultimate souvenir

From Instagram to TikTok, those who couldn’t snag a pair of tickets still got to participate in virtual sing-alongs and even traded friendship bracelets at the concert movie, but there was no string of beads bigger than the one outside four North American stadiums.

Designed by contemporary artist and sculptor Shawn Kolodny, the inflatable bracelet was commissioned by the Caesars Superdome in New Orleans, shipped to Lucas Oil Stadium in Indianapolis, gifted to Rogers Centre in Toronto, then retired in Vancouver, where it was displayed at BC Place.

Now, several months after the decoration graced her many venues, the singer herself has decided that she also needed a buddy band from the tour.

According to Kolodny, Taylor Swift has purchased the inflatable for reasons unknown.

“SO excited to announce @taylorswift bought our Giant Friendship bracelet we made for @taylorerastour,” he wrote.

As for what exactly she plans on doing with it?

There’s no telling where she hopes to put the massive art piece, but we’re sure whatever she chooses, it’ll make the US$13,000 she reportedly paid for it worth every penny.

It’s been an expensive few months for the singer, as she also announced that she has purchased all of her master recordings, which are now hers after a long battle with her previous record label.

Now we pass the question off to you.

What do you think the pop princess will do with her massive piece of jewellery?

Was it worth the money? Why or why not?
