The Rock’s new TV show is casting in Toronto & here’s who can apply

Ready for your closeup? The new Vice TV series by Dwayne “The Rock” Johnson called Tales from the Territories is casting in Toronto, but you’ll have to meet some specific criteria to get the gig.

The show is now accepting submissions from applicants in Toronto and the GTA to appear in episode 104 of the series, which was just announced by the network earlier this month.

“From Dwayne Johnson and the creators of the groundbreaking Dark Side of the Ring comes a new series that reunites real life legends from wrestling’s most famous promotions, to relive their most outrageous, jaw-dropping, unbelievable but 100% true stories from in and out of the squared circle,” says a description of the show from the casting call by Carly Granovsky Casting.

As you may have guessed, Vice TV is looking for actors who resemble the real-life wrestlers that will be discussed in the show.

Applicants must look like one of the wrestlers depicted in the casting call, and some even require you to have a wrestling, fighting sparring, or stunt background.

Not all of the available roles require special skills, however, they do pay $50 more. Secondary roles are paid $250 for the day, whereas wrestling roles and leads pay $300.

All of the roles are non-speaking and will probably require you to wear a wig.

If you’re interested in applying, you can take a look at the photos and descriptions included in the casting to see if you can recreate the look. Then, you can submit your audition (self-tape or photos) online.

The deadline for submissions is at 1 p.m. this Friday, August 19. If you think you have what it takes, you may want to start flexing those biceps in preparation.
