So needless to say – it’s a great time to make some resos at your local patios, or venture off in search of a new favourite! From lush garden patios to rooftop spots, to cafes with a view, here are 20 of the best patios to visit in Vancouver this summer.
Lavantine Restaurant & Bar
We’re starting with the newest addition to Vancouver’s rooftop patio scene, situated on the roof of the AZUR Legacy Hotel – AKA the newest 5-star boutique hotel in the city. The restaurant draws from the rich flavours of the Levant region, offering visitors bites inspired by those found in Turkey, Greece, Iran, and beyond – and sips at the Skybar inspired by Arabian folklore.

Okini
Situated in South Vancouver just south of Kerrisdale, Okini is a more upscale spot with an elevated menu of Japanese-inspired fare and innovative cocktails, yet it still manages to have a comfortable dining atmosphere. Outside, there is a garden patio surrounded by vibrant flowers and shade to keep you cool during the summer months.

Consider this your sign to finally check out Chupito if you haven’t already – AKA Vancouver’s coolest back-alley patio, situated behind sister bar Cantina 189. Known for its intimate vibes, incredible cocktails, margarita chupitos, and Mexican-inspired bites, you really can’t go wrong here.

The Stable House Bistro
This neighbourhood bistro and wine bar is straight out of a dream, and feels like a well-kept secret every time we visit. Situated in South Granville on West 13th, the intimate bar has a beautiful outdoor patio that leads to an even larger space on the adjacent South Granville Plaza West – so you’ve got options!

The Keg Steakhouse – Yaletown
The Keg in Yaletown is a must-visit for its covered rooftop patio, which has a variety of bar, booth, and lounge seating to choose from. Sip on a refreshing happy hour bevie from 4 to 6 pm, or indulge in a special occasion dinner. Or both!

Located on Cambie Street, the rooftop patio at Vij’s enjoys sun through its glass ceiling – and most importantly – some of the best Indian food in the city.

Lila
Speaking of fantastic Indian food, Lila is the city’s newest spot for modern Indian fare, with a veggie-forward menu. The new spot is brought to our plates by the teams at Vij’s and Acorn – two of the most renowned restaurants in the city.
Its garden patio is tucked away from the hustle and bustle of Main, perfect for a happy hour hang or cozy dinner.

The Parker Rooftop
When it comes to rooftop views, there are few places more scenic than The Parker Rooftop. Visitors can enjoy refreshing sips and inventive bites, all accompanied by sweeping views of the city from the ninth floor of The Parker Hotel (formerly Vintage Park Hotel).

The menu at Dachi changes from day to day, which makes for a thoroughly exciting dining experience every time you go. Caffe Barney on Granville
This brunch spot in South Granville is the perfect place to unwind with a beer or glass of wine after a long day on its back patio – which feels like you’re stepping into a completely different place! Definitely an ideal neighbourhood patio if there ever was one.

CRAFT Beer Market – False Creek
It probably goes without saying why CRAFT False Creek is on this list. Its large, sprawling patio is conveniently located by the water and seawall, and has plenty of happy hour specials twice a day from Monday to Thursday. This includes $5 highballs, $6 house wines and cocktails, and rotating taps for $7.

We all know that the OG Sing Sing location on Main is an incredible summer spot, but the expansive patio at the beer bar’s newest location is perfect for groups, dates, and hangouts of all kinds – including ones with dogs!

R&B Ale & Pizza House
Knock back a couple of lagers or sours under chilli pepper lights at one of Mount Pleasant’s most iconic breweries.
