Summer In SLU to host a free block party, games, and an express Pike Place Market this month

Looking for a few more things to add to your calendar this August? This month is already jam-packed full of super fun events in Seattle, but we have a few more to add. Here’s what’s happening at Summer in SLU this year and when you can get in on the activities.

Summer in SLU is a month full of events, installations, and giveaways!  Events are happening nearly every day that range from a Pike Place Market Express to games and even campfire songs.

The main event at Summer in SLU is of course the block party. This year, it takes place on Thursday, August 10th at the SLU Discovery Center Lawn.

It’s the block party’s 17th year and is full of live music, a beer garden, and local food. When it comes to music, you can hear from Clap Your Hands Say Yeah, Smokey Brights, La Fonda, Tomo Nakayama, Shaina Shepherd, and DJ Baby Van Beezly.

Best of all, these events are free to attend. So what are you waiting for? Get on down to South Lake Union.
