Budget-friendly activities you can enjoy at the Calgary Stampede

The greatest show on earth is almost here. Now, while we all love the 10 days of festivities that accompany Stampede, there’s no denying that it can be a little rough on the wallet. Luckily, there are lots of things to do at the Calgary Stampede that won’t break the bank.

In fact, most of the items on this list are free with your $25 Stampede admission, and that’s not even counting early access or superpass deals.

Here’s what to look forward to this year.

Calgary Stampede Parade

The Calgary Stampede kick-off is an attraction in and of itself, and it’s completely free to enjoy. Nab a good spot along the street and check out the floats and guests of honour. This year’s parade marshal is none other than country music legend Shania Twain. If you head down to the stampede right afterwards, you’ll also get into the grounds for free.
