Toronto’s St Patrick’s Day Parade is next month & will be “one of the largest ever”

St Patrick’s Day will be here before you know it and if you want to get out to celebrate the luck of the Irish, grab your family and head to the St Patrick’s Day Parade in downtown Toronto. According to St Patrick’s Parade Toronto, this year’s parade “is expected to be one of the largest ever.” Here’s what you need to know.

When and where is the parade?

The 2024 St Patrick’s Day Parade in Toronto will kick off on Sunday, March 17th at noon, on the corner of Bloor & St. George.

The parade will then head east across Bloor before turning south down Yonge Street and finally making its way to Yonge & Dundas Square where the parade will end.

According to St Patrick’s Parade Toronto, the massive celebration of Irish-Canadian culture will have thousands of participants for the 2024 rendition.

The event is free to attend and fun for all ages, taking place during Ontario’s March Break, making it perfect timing for families from Toronto and beyond to enjoy!

Members of the Toronto Professional Firefighters Association will also be collecting cash and canned goods on the Parade route in support of the Daily Bread Food Bank.

2024 Grand Marshal

Executive Director of the Professional Women’s Hockey League Players Association, Brian Burke, was named the Grand Marshal for the 2024 parade saying, “I am immensely honoured to be named Grand Marshal of Toronto’s St. Patrick’s Parade and to have the opportunity to celebrate my Irish heritage.”

“Irish people have played an important role in helping build Canada, and this parade is a celebration of those achievements.”

Join in on the Irish cheer and don’t forget to wear green, Toronto!
