St. Lawrence Market’s Winter Market is ‘bigger and better’ this year

My favourite place in the city is getting even more magical for the holidays. St. Lawrence Market is bringing back its Winter Market, and according to the City of Toronto, due to last year’s major success, this year’s rendition is going to be “bigger and better.” The outdoor market is free to attend, so why not head over and check it out?!

Winter Market is on now, running Thursdays through Sundays, with an extra Monday added for the final day of the market on Monday, Dec. 22, 2025.

The festivities will run beside the St. Lawrence on Market Street, where guests can enjoy a long lineup of vendors selling artisanal goods and specialty foods.

Toronto comes alive during the holiday season, and the Winter Market has quickly become one of our most cherished new traditions. It brings together local vendors, families, and visitors in a warm, festive atmosphere that reflects the very best of our city. I’m thrilled to see the market return this year with even more to explore, taste, and enjoy,” states Mayor Olivia Chow.

Coming up on the second weekend, the Winter Market will also be adding a synthetic ice rink! The third weekend will feature the Toronto Outdoor Picture Show’s first-ever winter programming, with the skating rink returning for the final two weekends.

Other special highlights include:

  • Friday Night Jazz with JazzInToronto (most Fridays)
  • Free photos with Santa Claus
  • The Weekend Holiday Vendor Market, located in the Temporary Tent at 125 The Esplanade (Saturdays and Sundays)

Who doesn’t love a free holiday activity? Have a blast at Winter Market, Toronto, and take lots of photos.
