A free, outdoor event lasting almost a week? Yeah, that’s music to our ears. Quite literally, as the lineup includes some very fun concerts, activities, dance performances, and a whole lot more for anyone to come see!

This is one of the highest-rated tourist attractions in the city, and for good reason! Get ready to be completely immersed in a stunning, high-flying experience over the most gorgeous parts of Iceland. The best part? Deals on tickets, including $10 off for those 12 and under throughout the break.

One of Vancouver’s most famous attractions, and for good reason! Spend a day enjoying a whole bunch of sea critters, and try to figure out their “seacrits”. Sorry.

Trying to enjoy the outdoors over the break instead? The UBC Botanical Garden has you covered. Not only are flowers and plants once more starting to bloom, but, like the above pick, they’re offering serious discounts on admission right now.

Speaking of enjoying the outdoors, the Sea to Sky Gondola is offering a deal as well! Enjoy one free child admission with the purchase of one regular admission on a midweek visit, and take it the region’s incredible beauty.

If you’re hopping in the car for the Sea to Sky Gondola, then this is a no-brainer way to make a full day of it! The family-friendly museum will also be hosting interactive sessions with “mini mud monsters” on select days, in addition to the regular experience.

Ok, back to some closer to home options. Having extended its season, this stunning skate plaza in North Van will be open until the end of the break! Best of all, it’s free to visit (so long as you bring your own equipment) and rentals are just $5.

You might not be heading anywhere tropical, but this is a great alternative. Located in the heart of Queen Elizabeth Park, the Bloedel Conservatory is filled to the brim with tropical plants and birds that are sure to have you feeling like you’re some 3000 km away.

Last but certainly not least, something for those who want a little culture in their lives during the break. Sure, a 12 year old might not get the nuance of contemporary art, but hey, we don’t either half the time. Plus, if you head down on a Tuesday night then admission is by donation!
