Sport Chek Mother’s Day Run is back in Calgary & registrations are now open

Let’s face it- by this point, the Sport Chek Mother’s Day Run, Walk and Wheel is not just a mere sporting event but a serious Mother’s Day ritual for us Calgarians. It’s way up there with gifts, cards, bouquets and brunches. And for good reason! It gives you exclusive deals, a great op to bond and enjoy a healthy activity with the fam and also support a good cause (or 2). C’mon, who wouldn’t want that, eh?

The Canadian sports giant is back with its annual race from coast to coast and the registrations are now open.

Like last year, the Sport Chek Mother’s Day Run, Walk and Wheel will happen virtually over a course of three days starting May 6 and ending May 8. And like last year, you can enjoy some dope discounts, a swag bag full of cool goodies and a finisher’s medal (which you can customize if you so wish).

There are three different events- Adidas 10km, Mother’s Day 5km and 1km Kids Little Legs Race for ages 12 and under. So, you can choose your own distance, your own pace (running, walking, wheeling), and your own route.

Given that this is one of the largest family fundraising events, the proceeds will go to the Canadian Tire Jumpstart Charities and the Calgary Health Foundation – Foothills NICU. Basically, you’re giving back simply by being healthy.

Now that the fun part and the good cause part are covered, let’s talk discounts! So, all participants get 70% off (YAY!) of select brands and styles on a purchase of $2,000 in-store and $2,000 online. Tempted? Us too. FYI, the discount is only valid from May 5 – 13, so you might want to hurry up.
