Sooke might be known for its scenic natural rock pools, summer swimming opportunities, and gold-rush era history, but the small town on Vancouver Island also happens to be a prime spot for a winter getaway. So if you have a weekend that’s wide open and you want to get out of the city for a bit, consider hopping on a ferry and staying at one of these cozy rustic cabins in Sooke.

In the winter, visitors can enjoy hiking opportunities, wildlife and storm-watching, and visit the Sooke Regional Museum.
