This Toronto soccer store is throwing a grand opening party and giving away World Cup tickets

One of Canada’s biggest soccer specialty stores has opened a new flagship in downtown Toronto, and it’s throwing a grand celebration this weekend. To mark the occasion, there will be a FIFA World Cup match giveaway. Here’s what to know.

You don’t want to miss this, Toronto! Soccer World opened a brand-new store in the city located at 42 Spadina Ave. just a few months ago. To celebrate their big win, the Soccer World team is hosting a grand opening party on Feb. 21, 2026.

What to expect

If you haven’t already checked out the new hub, it features a coffee bar, interactive games and, of course, the largest selection of soccer merchandise in Canada.

In honour of its grand opening, the store is going all out. The grand opening celebration will not only offer free snacks and drinks, but one of the most decorated players in Canadian history will be in attendance.

Canada Soccer Hall of Fame and Canada’s Sports Hall of Fame member Dwayne “DeRo” De Rosario will stop by to join in on the fun.

“We’re proud to share that five per cent of all proceeds from our grand opening will be donated to the DeRo Foundation. Every purchase helps support our community and grow the beautiful game,” shared the Soccer World team on Instagram.

“Join us for a day of celebration, football, and giving back, all in support of a great cause.”

The excitement doesn’t end there. Two tickets for a FIFA World Cup match will be given away. And knowing Toronto, expect line-ups!

It all starts at 10 a.m. with De Rosario stopping by in the afternoon.

This opening marks the company’s third location in Ontario, with other stores in Oakville and London.

See you there, Toronto!
