If you’re looking for some of the best Turkish coffee and pastries in Vancouver, no doubt the name ‘Simit Bakery’ comes up in your search. With original simits (Turkish bagels), savoury cheese and olive-filled bagels, bourek, pogacha, and bagel sandwiches, the only problem you’ll have is choosing what to eat.
And now, the bakery has officially opened a new location in West End, joining its two existing spots on West Broadway and West 4th.
As with Simit Bakery’s other locations, its menu is full of tasty made-from-scratch pastries, desserts, breakfast plates, and other traditional hot meals including menemen (scrambled eggs), manti (Turkish dumplings), and sujuk and eggs.

To drink, of course, there’s Turkish coffee, tea, and your regular espresso drink fixings.
Oh, and don’t forget to save room for dessert! In addition to their classic baklava, Simit offers revani (semolina cake with syrup), eclairs, tahini swirls, and their award-winning basque cheesecake.
The new Robson Street location is now open from 9 a.m. to 7 p.m. every day.
So there you have it, Turkish breakfast lovers. The next time you’re hit with a craving, you know where to head!
