The North Shore’s biggest end-of-summer party is FREE to enjoy

Heads up, street festival lovers! North Vancouver is throwing a final “hoorah” for Summer 2025 on the final weekend of the season. Considered the biggest end-of-summer party on the North Shore, the Shipyards Festival is back in full swing with tasty food trucks, Car Free Day fun, street games, flowing drinks, and live music all day long. Picture everything we associate with summer fun all wrapped into one massive celebration.

Live music, a site-wide beer garden, and more

Whether you want to check out the multi-stage performances, chill at the site-wide beer garden, or venture to Carrie Cates for Car Free Day North Vancouver along East First Street, you’ll have plenty of options here (and even more food trucks to choose from).

The festival at large offers no shortage of on-street activations from local businesses, as well as a Brewery District festival at the park, according to the Shipyards.

Vancouver band Passion Mango will headline the festival, and will be joined by local artists Aiden Ayers, Bealby Point, Felisha and the Jazz Rejects, Van Django, DJ Pizza Legs, and more.

In addition to multiple stages of performers of all musical backgrounds, families with children can enjoy performances and activities at the Seaspan Family Zone in the Pipe Shop from noon to 6 p.m.

Career opportunities

And, for the first time, those looking to explore a career in marine training have the opportunity to stop by the Marine Careers Expo (MCE) to meet prospective employers during the festival. Here, visitors can explore high-demand career opportunities through interactive activities and step aboard vessels for free public tours.

Ready to join in on the fun and send off summer the best way we know how? Mark your calendars for Saturday, Sept. 20, 2025, between noon and 9 p.m.

Live music will take place at the stages at the Shipyards Commons and on East First Street.

Enjoy summer’s final bow.
