Sephora is opening a new location at this west-end Toronto shopping centre

Sephora is coming to Toronto’s Stock Yards Village, filling what some west-end shoppers may say has been a glaring vacancy in the plaza’s retail lineup.

You have Winners, Marshalls, and Homesense — the trifecta of weekend shopping and browsing at Stock Yards. So, of course, adding a Sephora just makes sense.

Thanks to my investigative skills and slight obsession with the shopping centre, I came across store signage of the upcoming Sephora location. The brand’s logo actually caught my eye at first, forcing me to literally pump the brakes (of my car) and do a loop in the parking lot, to get a better view.

I’d be lying if I said I didn’t gasp when I saw it.

The words “coming soon,” in big, bold letters, stood out, highlighting the empty retail space that I didn’t care to acknowledge or even notice — until now.

For those familiar with the shopping destination, the new location is just a few steps away from Ardene. If memory serves me well, the retail space has been vacant for quite some time, so this new addition almost feels like the perfect match.

Curiocity did reach out to get more information, especially an opening timeline, but unfortunately, this news is as fresh as it gets. Although for some, signage may be enough confirmation, I did do some more digging.

According to a now-closed job posting, Sephora was on the hunt for a store director in Toronto. It was looking for someone to lead sales, operations and people development at Stock Yards Village. It is not currently hiring for other positions at this location. For now, at least.

This location would also fill a noticeable gap for shoppers in the area, with the nearest Sephoras currently located at Dufferin Mall and Yorkdale Shopping Centre. Head further west, and the next closest option is CF Sherway Gardens.

We’ll be sure to keep you updated as more details about the opening become available.

For now, I’ll just keep my eye out during my weekend shopping trips to see if anything has evolved at Stock Yards Village.
