Hello, Seattle! Ready for a weird list of things to do this weekend in the city? Of course, you are. This weekend features everything from Americana concerts to glass art festivals to football. Basically, we’ve got a real mixed bag lined up for this weekend and we’re excited about it.

Here are 8 things to do this weekend in Seattle.

Jade Bird

Jade Bird is an authentic Americana singer. That means understated production, a powerful voice, and catchy hooks combine to create a great sound. The fun twist? She’s British.

When: Friday, October 18
Where: The Showbox
Tickets: $20

Brewology

The Pacific Science Center is hosting their classic evening focused on craft beer, but with a couple of twists. The science demos are all Halloween themed, AND there is going to be a costume contest!

When: Friday, October 18
Where: Pacific Science Center
Cost: $50

Seattle Thunderbirds

With Seattle getting their own NHL team, we think it’s a great time to check out a little bit of WHL hockey. The Thunderbirds face off against the Brandon Wheat Kings (aka a team from a small town in the middle of Canada).

When: Friday, October 18
Where: accesso ShoWare Center, Kent
Cost: $18 and up

Ballard Wine Walk

At this one-night only event, you can shop at 10 different Ballard boutiques while you try 10 different Washington wineries. Wine and shopping? What more could you ask for?

When: Saturday, October 19
Where: Ballard
Tickets: $25 (10 tastings included)

Leavenworth Oktoberfest

Although it’s a couple of hours outside of the city, Leavenworth is guaranteed to be the most fun Oktoberfest in the Pacific Northwest. Plus, this is the last weekend it’s going down this year.

When: Friday, October 18 and Saturday, October 19
Where: Leavenworth
Cost: $10-$20

Seattle Seahawks vs. Baltimore Ravens

The Seahawks have had a pretty solid start to the season, and look to continue that through the fall. Head down to CenturyLink Field, grab a hot dog and a beer, and enjoy some NFL football, friends!

When: Sunday, October 20
Where: CenturyLink Field
Cost: $135 and up

Seattle Queer Film Fest

This massive festival will have everything from artist talks to short film nights and the year’s most talked about queer films. Check out the closing night gala on Sunday for a round up of the whole fest.

When: Now until Sunday, October 20
Where: Venues around Seattle
Tickets: Vary per event

Refract

Celebrate America’s best glass blowers and check out the skill involved in creating glass art. From gallery tours to special exhibitions, this is a great opportunity to discover the history behind Seattle’s glass art scene.

When: Now until Sunday, October 20
Where: Multiple Venues
Tickets: Vary per event

See what we mean? That’s a pretty eclectic mix of things to do this weekend. We think it’s a good thing though, you don’t want to get pigeonholed as the friend that only does one thing, do you?
