8 socially-distanced things to do in Seattle this weekend (November 27-29)
It’s the last weekend of November! That means it’s time to get out there (safely and within reason) and have some fun. As always, we’re here to give you a few ideas of what to do. Plus, we’ve made sure that all of these can be done while social-distancing, from home, or even online! Here are 8 things to do in Seattle this weekend.
Another fun socially distanced activity you can do is give yourself a socially distanced tour of Pike Place Market’s public art. There just so happens to be some pretty cool pieces that you may have never noticed before. And you can also shop from vendors while you’re at it.
Where: 85 Pike St
If you want to support local restaurants and try some tasty food then you need to check out this food walk in the ID. You can check out the menu online and enjoy $6 menu items from participating spots, be sure to check it out!
When: November 28
Where: Hing Hay Park, 423 Maynard Ave S
With new COVID-19 restrictions in place, you might be wanting to get out of the house. If so, we recommend heading to South Seattle’s beautiful Kubota Gardens. They’re big, free and the perfect place to enjoy some new scenery on your pandemic walks.
When: 6 am-10 pm daily
Where: 9817 55th Ave S
There are tons of great deals to be scored this weekend. So be sure to check out our list of some of the best Black Friday sales happening. We’ve included both local companies and big-box stores for some variety.
Here’s a great opportunity to see art for free. At Phylogeny Contemporary you can see works by multi-media artist La Vaughn Belle. So we recommend checking it out because this show looks pretty dang great. But just make sure you make an appointment before going.
When: November 28-January 9, 2021
Where: 2718 Elliott Ave
If you want to get active this month then you can partake in the virtual Seattle marathon or half marathon. And besides being a fun thing to do, it also happens to be one of Seattle’s oldest marathons. So consider starting a new Thanksgiving tradition this year.
When: November 29
As you might have guessed by the name, this market is happening at the Skal Beerhall in Ballard. And what’s best of all is that you can hit up the Ballard Farmers Market before or after for a double whammy. So be sure to check this out if you’re planning on heading to the market.
When: November 29
Where: 5429 Ballard Ave NW
This classic Seattle Christmas tradition at the Fairmont is still happening this year! So be sure to walk down 4th avenue to check out some of the wonderfully decorated trees in the Fairmont’s windows. After all, it’s free and socially distanced!
When: Through December 2
Where: 411 University St (4th Ave side)
That’s what we have for you to do in Seattle this weekend. If you plan on celebrating Thanksgiving this weekend with a group of people we highly recommend that you quarantine afterward. And/or get tested for COVID-19. Have a great weekend, folks!
