Things To Do

8 things to do in Seattle this weekend (August 30 – Sep. 2)

Via Extra Holidays

Hello again, everybody! We’ve got a Labor Day long weekend ahead of us which means we have plenty of wicked things picked out for you to do in Seattle. There are a couple of massive festivals, a few ways to celebrate the end of summer (don’t cry), and much, much more.

So, with that in mind, here are 8 of the best things to do in Seattle this Labor Day weekend.

Bumbershoot

Bumbershoot will be taking place during Labour Day weekend at the Seattle Center, attracting tens of thousands of festival-goers to the city. But you already knew that. Come through for Tyler, the Creator, Louis the Child, Lizzo, and more.

When: Friday, August 30 – Sunday, September 1
Where: Seattle Center, 305 Harrison St
Cost: Prices vary per ticket package

PAX West 2019

A massive, four day long festival celebrating all things gaming. From indie arcade games to tabletop options, you’ll find everything you’ll need to keep you busy when the weather gets a little worse. Tickets are nearly entirely sold out, so you might have to get creative with third-party resellers if you’re late to the party. Good luck!

When: Starts Friday, August 30
Where: Washington State Convention Center
Cost: Tickets vary per package

blink-182 & Lil Wayne

Weird combo? Sure. But hey, both of these acts were era-defining artists of the early-to-mid 2000s. Yes, they both still make music, but we’re talking about Enema of the State and Tha Carterera here.

When: Saturday, August 31
Where: White River Amphitheatre, Auburn
Cost: $42+

Americana Festival

Take full advantage of your Labor Day weekend with a festival on the waterfront. Enjoy some country, bluegrass, folk, and blues jams and enjoy what is looking to be like some damn fine weather.

When: Saturday, August 1 – Sunday, September 1
Where: Waterfront Park, 1401 Alaskan Way
Cost: Free Admission

Labor Day Boat Party

The 4th annual Labor Day Boat Party presented by Oceanic Entertainment is popping off this weekend and is almost certainly going to be a banger. We’re talking top-notch views, fully-licensed bars, DJs spinning (hopefully) some fire, and fun all night long.

When: Saturday, August 1 at 9:30 pm
Where: Lake Union Charters – 1611 Fairview Ave E
Cost: $20-$120

Finding Nemo under the stars

Head out to Magnuson Park on Friday night for one last movie under the stars. This time, you’ll be able to catch the classic fish-flick, Finding Nemo.

When: Friday, August 30 at 7:30 pm
Where: Magnuson Park Amphitheatre
Cost: Free

Seattle Scavenger Hunt

Think of Amazing Race combined with a tour of the city and boom! That’s what this scavenger hunt is. Guided by your smartphone, you and your team will solve clues around town to try and win a big selection of prizes.

When: Saturday, August 1 – Sunday, September 1
Where: Begins at the Seattle Center, 305 Harrison St
Cost: $27

LA Galaxy at Seattle Sounders FC

If you need a reason to check out the Sounders game this weekend, we’ve got one word: Zlatan. The Swedish sensation playing for the Galaxy could be on his way to Manchester United sooner rather than later, so this might be your last chance to see him in Seattle for a while.

When: Saturday, August 1 – Sunday, September 1
Where: CenturyLink Field, 800 Occidental Ave S
Cost: $22+

There you have it, folks! Those are 8 of the best things to do in Seattle this weekend. Happy Labor Day!
