Well hello Seattle, it’s sure been a pretty classic week here in the rainy city. And so we’re ready to have another relaxing weekend of indoor fun. So we’ve found just a few fun things that you can partake in this weekend.
Here are 8 things to do at home and around Seattle this weekend.
This week we talked about several local businesses that are creating masks for low cost or even free. And as King County wants you to wear a mask at all times, we think it’s the perfect time to go mask shopping online. So whether you or a friend needs a mask, be sure to check out these local creators.
Watch Animal Crossing Island Tours on Youtube
We don’t know about you guys but quarantine has definitely brought us back to playing some of our favorite games. And well we’ve been blown away by the creativity of players in Animal Crossing New Horizons. That being said, we haven’t seen anyone who’s designed an island that looks like Seattle… Maybe that could be you.
Ballet might not be your thing but Seattle actually loves its Ballet. And right now, PNB is streaming the best of old performances every Friday. So be sure to tune in and watch amazing choreography paired with amazing dancers right here in Seattle.
We updated our city-wide ramen guide to include the best of what’s currently open and doing delivery and takeout. So be sure to treat yourself to some of the best and tastiest ramen around the city this weekend.
In case you didn’t know, the Seahawks have released their pre-season schedule. So while we all have a little extra time you might as well start planning your game days. Because we could all use a little something to look forward to.
Watch a Lynn Shelton film
The well-loved and local director Lynn Shelton, unexpectedly passed away last week at the age of 54. And while she will be greatly missed, now is the perfect time to honor her memory by watching one of her many excellent films.
A choreographer who has worked with greats like Britney Spears and Janet Jackson will be teaching a virtual Britney Spears centric class this weekend. And while this is a pretty niche event, we can’t really say no.
If the experience of the pandemic has made you question the future of a society based on Capitalism, you’ll probably enjoy Red May. This month-long event features radical art and thought and tons of free talks. It’s a great chance to learn some new things.
Okay folks we hope you enjoy this weekend event list and we know its a little all over the place. But life is a little all over the place at the moment. So we hope you enjoy at least one of these suggestions. And either way, have a great weekend Seattle!
