While COVID-19 has been devastating for people around the world it has also shown how creative people can get. And Chelsea Klukas of Seattle has gone above and beyond by creating a face mask that can display customizable text. So if you’re looking for a unique face mask, this might just be it.

Klukas is known for being the co-founder of the fashion technology organization MakeFashion and now she has her own brand Lumen Couture. And earlier this year she was working on a belt that could read text when she realized the potential this could have in a face mask. So she made it happen!

At the moment, these face masks connect to an app for both iOS and Android that allows you to type or speak a message which will be displayed on the mask. So not only is this generally really cool but it could be a game-changer for people who rely on reading lips. And we’re excited to see where this technology goes.
