It’s hard to believe that we’ve all been cooped up in the house for several months now. It kinda all just feels like a bad fever dream. But in good news, COVID-19 deaths and cases in Seattle are on the decline and have been for several weeks now.

Thanks to data from King County, GeekWire has determined that COVID-19 related deaths dropped 40% from last week. And that’s no small number when you think about it. In fact, it’s the lowest amount of deaths since early March. Woo hoo!

But that’s not all, Seattle also has less confirmed cases. So much so that we’re in the 4th week of COVID-19 case decline. And this is even after more testing has become available. So all the hard social distancing and quarantine work is paying off!

And while this is great news, it means we all need to continue to keep up on our social distancing. Because every choice we make counts. But let this news remind you that this will come to end at some point, we all just need to be smart and hang in there.
