Seattle Parks closures will continue through end of Monday
We’re sure you’re already staying inside, but we should let you know that Seattle Parks has once again closed public spaces due to the low air quality in the city. This continues the closures from over the weekend.
While our state’s fires are a factor, there are also clouds of smoke blowing north from Oregon that will continue to affect air quality. In fact, the city of Seattle is currently the third-worst place in the world, behind Vancouver, Canada and Portland.
Due to ongoing poor air quality, we’re extending closure of beaches, boat ramps, parks, & playfields through end of Mon., 9/14. The City is not issuing citations, but all residents are strongly encouraged to avoid outdoor activities & remain inside if able until quality improves. https://t.co/6RitskK0UV

With that in mind, we’re recommending that you check out a helpful guide for improving air quality in your home. In particular, a relatively basic and effective box fan filter will help significantly if used properly.
Enjoy the day, and stay safe out there folks!
