Seattle is in the news once again and this time it’s for something pretty unique. And that news is Seattle has been ranked as one of the best cities for filmmakers to live and work in. We told you the news was unique but it sure is great for our cities creatives!

The ranking comes from the website MovieMaker which has ranked Seattle at number 23 out of 25. This makes sense, after all, Seattle isn’t exactly the most affordable spot for creatives to live. However, it does have quite a film scene as evidenced by over 30 film festivals that our city has.

And of course, we have Washington Filmworks, our state’s film commission which works to fund and support filmmakers. Not to mention our city happens to be a hub for tech and at least a bit of that is in the creative realm. So for the time being it looks like we’re doing pretty well and we hope to see our city become even more film-friendly.
