So at this point, we’re sure you’ve seen your social media flooded with images of Seattle brutalizing people at the Seattle protests. And while Mayor Jenny Durkan has continued to support police behavior, she did one good thing yesterday. If you haven’t guessed, it has to do with curfews.

Yesterday’s protest went very well. It was peaceful all day and lasted from 1:30 pm until about 5 am this morning. Throughout most of the day and night, there were thousands of people participating. And part of this protest was Mayor Jenny Durkan’s meeting with black community leaders on the topic of police brutality.

If you were able to watch the live stream of the talks, you know that the speakers had great points. Durkan’s response wasn’t as inspiring, as she decided to go outside and tell thousands of protestors about her Irish immigrant ancestors. And we think it’s pretty safe to say that it was an obvious fail on Durkan’s part. But nonetheless, she has lifted curfew for Seattle protests for the rest of the weekend.
