We don’t know about you guys but we’re getting pretty dang excited for the new Climate Pledge Arena. And while we’ll admit the name is a little funny, we’re excited to see just how they’ll live up to their name. So on that note, it’s looking like 75% of the arena’s food will be local.

And honestly, that’s pretty amazing. Because sports arenas are one of those things that we rarely associate with being eco friendly. Or even supporting smaller businesses for that matter. But Climate Pledge Arena is changing the game. And you can expect to see organic produce, seafood, and even vegetarian fare.

But that’s not all! There are no gas stoves in the arena. Instead, all cooking is done with electric or convection appliances. And any viable unused food will go to Seattle food banks. So right now we have to say we’re already pretty proud of this arena.
