Governor Inslee is pressing pause on Washington’s phase reopening
Well folks we’ve reached the trifecta in Washington state and not in a good way. And in simple terms, COVID-19 related cases, hospitalizations, and deaths are all on the rise. So with that in mind, Governor Jay Inslee has put an indefinite hold on the state’s phase system.
And honestly, it makes a lot of sense. After all, COVID-19 remains a serious risk for both public health and the economy. While it’s good to enjoy your surroundings in the summer, it has to be done safely.
I have indefinitely extended the pause on counties advancing phases in our Safe Start Plan.

It’s a tough change to make but the right one. Right now is the time to think about the collective good. Not about how much fun it would be to gather with your friends in the park or meet new people. Nope, not this summer. Instead, get your favorite food to go, facetime your friends, and get cozy at home.
Trust us folks, we know that none of this is comfortable or ideal. But you can relax a little bit knowing that everyone is in the same boat. So be smart, wear your masks, and practice good hygiene. And of course, if you’re out, continue social distancing. As always, if you’d like to learn more about Governor Jay Inslee’s decision you can click here.
