As you might have guessed, there are some local names on the list. Of course, Jeff Bezos is the world’s richest for the fourth year in a row with a worth of $177 billion. And while that might seem big, he is just one of the US’s 724 billionaires.

Some of the locals joining him are Bill Gates at #4 with $124 billion, Steve Ballmer at #14 with $68.7 billion, and Mackenzie Scott at #22 with 53 billion. But if you take the time to scroll through the list you’ll see many other local names.

Now, these individuals’ wealth fluctuates on a day-to-day basis. So in order to calculate this data, Forbes used multiple metrics as well as “stock prices and exchange rates from March 5 to calculate net worths”. Who knows, maybe if your business idea takes off you could join the list in 2022.

If you’d like to learn more or see the full list of names you can click here. It’s a little crazy to see just how many local names are on the list. But we suppose that’s the power of tech! With that, have a great rest of the week.
