This all-star lineup of professors will be discussing Halberstam’s newest book Wild Things: The Disorder of Desire. If you haven’t heard of the Meaningful Movies Project, it’s pretty cool. It focuses on “the power of social justice documentary film and conversation to build positive and meaningful community”. This virtual weekly lunchtime check-in is led by Dr. Kriss Kevorkian of Gig Harbor. So if you want to connect to a new community while learning this might just be for you.

Virtual Opening Shinto Blessing at Seattle Japanese Garden

The Bainbridge Island Museum of Art has a pretty cool online program discussing art books! So if that’s something you’re into we highly suggest that you check out their YouTube channel which releases new videos on the 1st and 3rd Saturday of each month. Plus you can watch all their old episodes as well!

We don’t know about you guys but the Henry is one of our favorite galleries in the city. And right now they have 6 different exhibitions for you to check out. So we highly recommend that you visit them as entry is free and the art is always excellent. But with that in mind, be sure to donate if you can.

Visit the Price Sculpture Forest
If you’re planning on taking a drive up North then you should head to Coupeville to check out the Price Sculpture Forest. This relatively new public art sculpture park opened earlier in 2020 and is one family’s way to conserve land and share it with the public. So go see some art and a beautiful natural forest.

40th Anniversary Exhibition at Linda Hodges Gallery
One of Seattle’s classic galleries is celebrating 40 years! So in honor of that, they’re featuring artists who have supported them over the years. It’s a great opportunity to see some amazing paintings and more for a limited time.

La Conner Daffodil Festival
Spring is almost here and that means flower festivals will be happening very soon. One of the first that you can check out is the La Conner Daffodil Festival which takes place throughout the month of March. Frye Boren Banner Series
This is a new initiative from the Frye Art Museum to showcase artists from the Pacific Northwest. Each piece is displayed on a massive 16×20 banner on the East facade of the museum for all to see. So if you want to check out some art you can visit and see Marilyn Montufar’s piece Ronnie and Cleveland (2006).

Compline Choir
This one might seem a little out there but it’s been a Seattle Sunday tradition since 1956. So if you want to listen to some beautiful live singing from the comfort of home, this is pretty much the way to do it. Plus you can hear podcasts with past concerts if you’re really feeling it.

Parable of Gravity
