Life is starting to feel really exciting now that the sun doesn’t set at 3 pm. Or maybe that’s just us but either way we’re getting pumped for the longer days. And with longer days comes progressively better sunsets. So we’ll clue you in on a few of our favorite places to the sunset in Seattle.

Discovery Park
To be honest this park is our number one for a lot of things. Firstly, it’s huge and there are tons of beautiful, weird and creepy things about this park. And maybe that’s why the show ‘The Killing’ chose it as their focal point. But anyway, it also happens to be a spectacular place to catch the sunset. Just don’t stay after dark for too long… Jk, you’ll be fine.

Kerry Park
This park is the amateur photographers’ dream. Seriously, every time you go there, the sound of clicking shutters drowns out the sounds of the city. And that’s because it has one of the best focal points of downtown Seattle. So not only will you get to see the sunset but you’ll also get to see a killer view of the downtown skyline and space needle.

Golden Gardens Park
It’s pretty much everyone’s favorite beach to chill at in the summer so you might as well get a head start and get over there to watch the sunsets. Now as its quite popular we will warn you that it gets packed.
Where: Golden Gardens Park, 8498 Seaview Place N.W.
Gas Works Park
Perhaps one of the cooler parks in Seattle, Gas Works has a lot to see. You can enjoy both the downtown skyline and the remnant structures of the gasification plant that once existed there. Yes, gasification is a real word.

Sunset Hill Park
Here’s another popular summer gathering spot. And this one can be easy to miss because it’s not terribly big but that being said it has a killer view. You can look out over the sound while having a picnic or enjoying many of your other favorite summer activities.

Alki Beach
If you’re going to head out West, we’re always fans of an evening spent at Alki Beach. You can enjoy dinner and drinks at one of the many restaurants and the sit on the beach to soak up the last rays of golden hour.
