Seattle has a ton of amazing restaurants so it can be easy to get lost when trying to choose just one. But if you’re going to get takeout this weekend we highly suggest that you try Maneki. And in case you don’t know, it just so happens to be one of Seattle’s oldest restaurants.

In fact, Maneki has been open since 1904. And one of the restaurants OGs, Fusae Yokoyama, has been hosting and bartending for almost 60 years. And to make matters even more impressive, she’s now 90 years old. So clearly this restaurant is very special in its history, people and food.

Normally we’d head to Maneki to enjoy some high-quality Japanese cuisine and their very fun Tatami rooms but things are different now. But that being said, takeout is still available and equally as delicious and special. So if you’re thinking about ordering takeout this weekend, make sure Maneki is your first choice.

And as all restaurants in the city are struggling they have started a GoFundMe. So you can support them that way or by ordering takeout and leaving a positive review on their Yelp page. And of course, if you order takeout show us your food pics and let us know what you think!
