Basically, customers can opt to use one of these reusable cups for a hot or cold drink with a $1 deposit. Plus customers get rewarded for using the program with 10 Bonus Stars on their Starbucks Rewards account.

But what’s unique about this is that it’s only available at 5 Seattle locations. And it’s only happening until May 31st. So we’ll be curious to see how it works and if the company decides to expand the program. But we’ll keep our fingers crossed that customers can simply bring their own cups once more people are vaccinated.
Now if you’re wondering, each cup is professionally cleaned and sanitized by a company called GO Box. So it’s a very safe and streamlined process. And we hope it’s the start of a greener future for Starbucks. If you’d like to learn more you can click here.
