Schmaltzy’s Deli has finally opened its doors in Seattle

After years of planning and construction, Schmaltzy’s Delicatessen has finally opened its doors to hungry Seattle diners. The deli comes from the same folks behind the super popular Napkin Friends food truck, so we’re confident that this spot will knock it out of the park.

Schmaltzy is defined as ‘overly sentimental’, which is exactly what we’ll be when we finally take a bite of their pastrami sandwich. Or their matzoh ball soup. Heck, everything on the menu is probably going to do it to us. We’ve just been waiting so long for it.

The West Woodland location (aka Frelard) puts it close to some of Seattle’s best bars and breweries, so it’ll be easy to swing by for lunch before getting down to drinking. That’s our first plan, at least.

The second plan is to get there right when they open and try a Beep Boop Bagel. Add a little smear of cream cheese and some lox on top to start the day? Boy oh boy, we can taste it already.

Hopefully, you can too.
