Well folks you’ll soon be able to add yet another celebrity-backed booze brand to the list. Because actor Jamie Foxx just bought Brown Sugar Bourbon that was founded right here in Washington. And if you’ve heard of it, it’s actually gained quite a lot of notoriety in the past few years.
Jamie Foxx noticed how popular this spirit was at his pre-pandemic functions and knew he wanted to be a part of it. Because not only did he like it but clearly others did too so he did what any logical person would do, buy the company. Well you know not anyone can do that but it’s nice when you can make your dreams a reality.

Anyway, things will stay pretty similar with the spirit. However, Foxx will be behind much of the creative direction as well as the spirit’s future releases. So we’re excited to see what he does with this brand. And we have a feeling, it will only continue to grow. Especially considering that Gig Harbor-based spirits maker Heritage Distilling Company will continue to have some interest in the brand.
