7 delicious food events in Seattle this February

We all love eating, duh. So, we figured we’d give you the lowdown on what tasty food events are going down in Seattle this February. A fair amount is happening between dinners, pop-ups, and classes. Alas, here are 6 must-try food events this February in Seattle!

Alki Oyster Fest

The PNW has the best oysters in the #oystergame and this event is here to prove it. This year features delicious oyster selections from Hama Hama, Baywater Shellfish Company, Taylor Shellfish, Chelsea Farms, and Olympia Oyster Company. You can complement your dish with a frosty microbrew or wine by the glass from West Seattle Brewing Company, Alki Beach Pub, and Harry’s Beach House. Oh and, net proceeds going to Puget Sound Restoration Fund. It doesn’t get much better than that!

Pop! Bubbles & Seafood

Pop! Bubbles + Seafood is Seattle Wine and Food Experience’s signature event and is not one you can miss. This event showcases the Pacific Northwest’s bounty of seafood, from salmon to clams to oysters and more. Also, you have the opportunity to sample sparkling wines, champagne, Spanish cava, Italian prosecco, and more from all over the world. Count us in!

When: February 21st
Where: Great Hall at Union Station, 401 S Jackson St
Cost: $85

Truffle Making

We don’t know about you, but we can never get enough chocolate. In this class, you’ll learn how bean to bar chocolate, ganache, and truffles are made. Then, make hand-rolled truffles and experiment with your own favorite flavor combinations. Finally, the best part is you get to take your creations home to share with friends and family. Who knows, maybe you’ll be the next best chocolate maker?

Lechoncito: Puerto Rican Food

You don’t want to miss this 7-course Puerto Rican family-style dinner, no siree. This happens weekly and the menu changes every time, so you’ll always be able to have a different experience. There are also options for non-pork eaters.

Marshmallow Making with Pine & Crave

Forget bagged marshmallows! This summer, you’ll be making your own thanks to this class. You’ll learn how to create, sugar, cut, and decorate your own custom marshmallows. Also, you’ll leave with two batches of marshmallows. Nice. If you weren’t already convinced, all proceeds from this class will go to supporting The Pastry Project’s training program.

Food Truck Round-Up XXXIV

If you’re planning on heading to the Fremont Sunday Market, you might as well check this out too. The Food Truck Round-Up features Seattle’s favorite food on four wheels and returns every second Sunday curbside at the Fremont Sunday Market. It’s family friendly and always free. You can also check out tons of awesome crafters, vintage goods, and food booths!

When: February 9th
