6 unbelievable artists to see at Bumbershoot 2019
Well, Bumbershoot goes down at the end of this month, and is sure to be one of the highlights of the Seattle summer. The massive festival is boasting an impressive lineup this year, with all kinds of genres on display.
Here are 6 artists that we recommend you check out during Bumbershoot 2019.
Tyler, the Creator
The main headliner of the festival, at least in our opinion. IGOR was a groundbreaking album for Tyler, showcasing his creative talent as a producer and his ongoing lyrical abilities. He’s come a long way from Goblin, but we hope that he performs Yonkers anyway.
The surprise act for the festival, Lizzo is an incredible blend of raw R&B talent and an of-the-moment sound. Her latest album, Cuz I Love You, has solidified her as a rising star in the music industry.
Another great R&B act, and supported by the likes of Alicia Keys and Bryson Tiller. She’s only released one single so far in 2019, so we’re hoping that she takes this opportunity to tease some new music on the way.
The New York producer was amongst the first to bend the rules of modern electronic music. Since 2014, he’s been making some fantastic summer jams, and what better time to appreciate them than during a summer festival?
We think Gallant might have been before his time. The crooner has got the same level of skill as Frank Ocean, and like H.E.R., has only released a handful of music this year. No matter though- listening to Weight In Gold live is going to be amazing.
Weirdly, this Vancouver based electronic duo sounds like they’ve been around a lot longer than just a few years. We’re big fans of their minimal, deep-house sounds, and they should be perfect for the festival concert scene. Not to mention that they’ve been nominated for a couple of Grammys here and there, too.
There you have it, Seattle. Our top picks for Bumbershoot 2019. Of course, we’re just scratching the surface here. Your best bet is to pick up a ticket and see what draws you in while you’re there.
