Seattle Seafair returns this weekend & it includes hydroplanes and Blue Angels

It’s the first full weekend of August and a beloved Seattle tradition is finally returning. Seattle Seafair is back and better than ever with a weekend of fun, in-person programming, and events for you to enjoy. Here’s what to expect from this year’s festival.

This year’s festival has all of your past year’s favorites including hydroplanes, the Boeing airshow, Blue Angels, and more. It’s pretty much the weekend to hit Lake Washington and if you don’t have your own boat or know someone with one, you can always turn to options like GetMyBoat. Or of course, make some new friends.

The crowd favorite each year is probably the Blue Angels and as always they’ll probably sneak up on you, seeing them before you hear them. But be sure to keep your eyes on the sky near Lake Washington from August 5th to 8th at 3 pm each day. You’ll also be able to catch a glimpse of them Thursday, August 4th as they practice with flight times between 11 am and 2:20 pm.

Keep in mind, that much of Seafair can be enjoyed and accessed for free. However, you can purchase tickets for roadside seating at the parade as well as the official boat and air show viewing. Whatever you choose to do, you can learn more at the festival website.
