Another free shuttle has returned for the season! The Seattle Discovery Park Beach Shuttle started on May 25th, and will now be operating until September 7th.
The free beach shuttle loops between the East, North, and Beach parking lots at Discovery Park, arriving each location approximately every 30 minutes.
Of note, this shuttle operates on Saturdays only from 11 am-5:30 pm, with the last trip leaving the beach at 5:15.

If you plan to hop on the free shuttle note that service animals and strollers are allowed on. But, there are items not permitted, and those include pets, coolers, surfboards, paddleboards, other large items.
“At more than 550 acres, Discovery Park is the largest city park in Seattle. During the summer when visitation is highest, Seattle Parks and Recreation provides a free shuttle bus that transports visitors between the Visitor Center, North Parking lot and the pristine beaches,” states The Associated Recreation Council. “This no cost shuttle service allows visitors to explore the natural beauty of Discovery Park all day long.”
Donations are accepted for the shuttle, and according to the Associated Recreation Council, they are tax-deductible.
