If you happen to be a designer or just love design in general then you can’t miss Seattle Design Fest. The Festival was founded in 2011 and has been taking place annually with a new theme each year. This year’s theme is Curiosity and here’s what to expect.

The Festival has 6 days of programming across the city and kicks off with a block party at Lake Union Park on Saturday, August 19th and Sunday, August 20th.

That means throughout the 6 days you can check out over 60 installations, pop-up experiences, virtual discussions, and mixers. Some of the events include talks on the future of Seattle architecture, a painting activity combining art and physics, and live performances centred on collaboration.

Best of all, the vast majority of the festival is free to attend. Keep in mind you may have to RSVP for certain events or pay cover for certain parties. All in all, it’s a great way to learn more about both local and global architecture and design.

Enjoy!
