The Seattle Aquarium is hosting an adults only after hours event this month

Have you ever wanted to experience the Seattle Aquarium without all the kids? Well, you’re in luck because After Hours: Summer Fling is back! The adults-only, 21+ event is a great way to see all of your favorite exhibitions after hours and without distraction.

The event takes place on Wednesday, August 23rd from 6:30 PM-9:30 PM and features live “yacht-rock” music from The Sunset Grooves, opportunities to experience the habitats at night, a variety of “animal-themed experiences”, a no-host bar and food available for purchase, as well as one of the city’s best sunset viewpoints from the back of the pier.

Some of the activities include a scavenger hunt, educational talks on orcas, plankton, and the chance to learn about the Cedar River Salmon Journey.

As for food, guests can nosh on street tacos, tortilla bowls, and also ice cream. When it comes to drinks you can choose between cocktails, beer, wine, and non-alcoholic options. If you like, you have the option of purchasing a pre-paid food voucher for $37.05 that is good for one food item and two drinks. If not, you can purchase food and drinks directly at the event.

What’s more, your ticket goes towards helping support the aquarium’s animal care and marine conservation work.

It’s important to keep in mind that tickets are only available online. That means no tickets will be sold at the door and limited coat racks are available. So pack light and get ready to see the Seattle Aquarium in an entirely new way!
