This historic train ride in BC offers spectacular views & it has an open air car

Looking for a unique way to appreciate the fall colours this season? Then look no further than this scenic train ride through the Okanagan. The only surviving part of the Kettle Valley Steam Railway is open to the public – and you can ride in a vintage passenger coach or even an open-air car!

Built between 1910 and 1915, the KVR “Kootenay to Coast Connection” powered BC’s pioneer fruit industry into world markets, and connected numbers of families, job-seekers, and travellers alike. What does the historic railway have in store for guests now?

A stunning 10-mile stretch of beautiful vistas, from lush orchards and vineyards to lake views from the Trout Creek Bridge, which sits at 238 feet above the canyon floor.
