‘Sausage Party’ part two? Seth Rogen announces new mini series & drops its premiere date

When we look back on the movies that truly left us dumbfounded and disturbed, there’s no doubt that Sausage Party tops the list. What’s even more interesting is that the 2016 film is officially getting a TV follow-up, and Seth Rogen just dropped its premiere date.

The original R-rated movie follows a sentient sausage who lives in a grocery store and discovers what truly happens when groceries are taken home. Written by Rogen alongside Ariel Shaffier and Kyle Hunter, the story is meant to parody those of Disney and Pixar, though it’s definitely geared toward mature, adult audiences.

According to a post shared by the Vancouver-born actor, Sausage Party: Foodtopia will star many of the film’s original cast, including Rogen, Jonah Hill, Kristen Wiig, and Michael Cera.

The mini-series is set to premiere on Amazon Prime on July 11th – so mark your calendars if you’re looking for something, um, interesting to watch.
