Saint Patrick’s Day is coming up on Monday, March 17, 2025, and there are a handful of celebrations going on in Vancouver to celebrate, no matter if you’re in the mood for a bar crawl, an Irish-themed variety show, or a folk-rock concert. So saddle up and get ready to celebrate Saint Patrick’s Day the best way we know how!
Western Canada’s largest Celtic festival, CelticFest returns this month with a headline event on Sunday, March 16, 2025 featuring Irish acoustic folk-rock band, Hermitage Green at the Vogue Theatre, alongside a Family Day event in East Van on Saturday, March 15, 2025. The latter will include art, music, dance, and tin whistle workshops for families to enjoy.
Other events throughout the week of celebration include the “What’s the Craic,” an Irish-themed variety show, and a performance by local comedian Amy Walsh.

Here’s a fun Friday night crawl. Kicking off Saint Patrick’s Day weekend is this pub crawl starting at Portside at 7 p.m., with stops for drinks, games, and more fun planned around Gastown, ending up at one of the biggest and best bars in the neighbourhood (cough cough, we’re thinking it’s Blarney!)

Free festival alert! Blarney Stone and the cobblestone streets that surround it are coming alive with a full lineup of local musicians, traditional Irish dancing, and family fun for a street party from noon to 8 p.m. on March 17, 2025. So get ready for a celebration that’s as Irish as it gets, with beer gardens by Blarney and Smith’s Irish Pub.

Greta Bar is hosting hundreds at its St. Patrick’s Day party, complete with $5 games, drink deals, and an epic dance floor until 2 a.m. Those who party here will have a chance to win some fun prizes, including a free trip to Whistler and Canucks tickets. Oh, and be sure to wear green to get double the raffle tickets!

CRAFT English Bay is marking the occasion with a fun night of live music, drinks (specials starting at $5), and a late-night DJ.

In the same vein, BREWHALL in Olympic Village is embracing the luck of the Irish with a live DH and drink specials all night long, which include $7 Jameson and $2 off Guinness. Tickets are just under $12 starting at 9 p.m., and each includes a complimentary jello shot!

Irish food features, flowing drinks, music, and dancing await over four nights of fun at Fort Pub & Grill, which includes both free and ticketed events! On Friday, March 14, Tetris Band performs at 7 p.m. at a free show, followed by a ticketed show by Mood Therapy Band on Saturday, March 15. On Sunday, March 16, the Celtic Cowboys will perform for an Irish Brunch (free admission!) and Dinner show (ticketed). Finally, The Melo Hearts will send off the series at 5 p.m. on Monday, March 17.
