The 49-year-old is in the city filming season one of “Motorheads”, a Prime Video series about a group of outsiders that form an unlikely friendship over a mutual love of automobiles.
According to ACTRA Toronto, filming is underway now and will shoot until July.
While filming may continue into the warmth of summer, Phillippe got a glimpse into Canadian/Toronto life during the colder months, sharing this to social media:
“It snowed heavily here in Toronto yesterday. I woke up this morning and my neighbour of the house I’m renting had shovelled my walkway and front porch for me. That’s Canadians. Bless ‘em.”
The actor also shared a hilarious photo on his social media showing him chatting on the phone wearing a tank top and shorts walking through a downpour of snow.
Phillippe has been documenting his Toronto journey from the start also posting a photo of the “Motorheads” cast looking very bundled up, captioning it:
“You either die a hero or live long enough to see yourself become a father figure/mentor to a gang of young people on a @primevideo drama about car racing.” Production on, “Motorheads” is set to begin.”
Phillippe will star in the series alongside Nathalie Kelley, Michael Cimino, Uriah Shelton, Drake Roger and Melissa Collazo.
