A first-timer’s guide to Toronto’s brand-new Rogers Stadium

Planning to hit up the brand-new Rogers Stadium this summer? With major acts like Coldplay hitting the stage, it’s already shaping up to be a hot spot. If you’re not totally sure what to expect, don’t worry! To make your life easier, we’ve put together a quick guide to get you ready.

Here’s what to know about

Getting to Rogers Stadium

So your concert is at Rogers Stadium… NOT Rogers Centre. Before you embark on your journey, make sure you’re going to the right one.

Now that you are sure you’re heading to the right place, it’s time to decide how you’re getting there.

Transit

According to the stadium, Downsview Park Station is the closest TTC subway and GO Transit stop to Rogers Stadium. It’s about a 10-minute walk. Sheppard West and Wilson Stations are also nearby and serve as alternative stops. Coming on the bus? The 84 Sheppard West, 96 Wilson, 107 York University Heights, and 108 Driftwood are some of those that serve the area.

Rideshare, pick up and drop off

You’ll find the entrance to the rideshare and pickup/drop-off lot at 111 Beffort Rd. To find this lot, drive north on Dufferin St. It then turns into Beffort Rd once you are north of Wilson Ave. There, you will see the entrance to the rideshare lot on the west/right side of the street.

It’s important to note that there is no pedestrian access to the venue via Beffort Road.

Parking

Parking is available on site and in the surrounding area, BUT it is extremely limited. If you need to drive, you can find some parking lots at nearby TTC subway stations or at York University, for a fee.

Highway 407 Station
Finch West Station

Biking

Rogers Stadium offers free bike lock-ups, courtesy of Cycle Toronto, located outside Gate 1.

For fans using Bike Share Toronto to get to and from Rogers Stadium events, you’ll find docks at the venue on event days only, located just outside of Gate 1.

Navigating Rogers Stadium

Now you’re at the stadium – congrats! Here’s what to know while you’re there.

Venue entry

As previously mentioned, all fans can enter the stadium through Gate 1.

Gate 2 is for Rogers customers who get exclusive entry through Rogers Beyond the Seat. All you have to do is show your device or the MyRogers app at the gate to skip the main line. VIP ticketholders can also check in and enter through Gate 2.

Gate 3 is for premium ticket holders and American Express Cardmembers. American Express Cardmembers just have to show a valid American Express Card. Digital copies are not accepted.

All entry gates at Rogers Stadium are accessible via wheelchair and/or mobility device. You’ll find wheelchair escorts to your seats at Gate 1 and Gate 3.

Fan plaza

The Fan Plaza will open at 4 p.m. during events. Fans are encouraged to get to the venue early to enjoy their offerings.

These include:

Rogers Replay – a Rogers activation to create a first-of-its-kind personalized recap video, combining pro footage with your own content shot throughout the stadium grounds.
Vista Corona – beer garden
Rogers Park – seating area with a bar and shaded space.
Artist merch area
American Express Lounge – Amex Cardmembers can grab some refreshments and bites in the American Express Lounge, subject to capacity
Birkenstock Lounge – Fans can relax in style at the Birkenstock Lounge with food and drink options available, subject to capacity

Water

You’ll want to stay hydrated, especially during hot summer evenings. Thankfully, there are over 30 free water stations throughout the venue.

Reusable water bottles and hydration packs are allowed, but they must be empty upon entry to the venue. It must be plastic; no glass or metal bottles are allowed.

Leaving Rogers Stadium

You’ve enjoyed the show and you’re ready to head home.

Rogers Stadium encourages fans to go to Downsview Park Station, Sheppard West Station, and Wilson Station when exiting the stadium.

Exit Gate 1 for Downsview Park Station
Exit Gate 2 for Sheppard West Station
Exit Gate 3 for Wilson Station

This summer, to get you home or back to your car safely, Rogers Stadium is providing free TTC and GO Transit rides after all 14 shows this summer.

“To ensure smoother travel, TTC and GO Transit will be running more frequent service in the area,” shares the stadium.

“Please note: three additional southbound Barrie line trains have been added to Union Station after the concert. The last train will depart at 11:55 p.m. Regular GO bus service will also be running.”

Accessibility

For fans with accessible needs, Wheel-Trans will be providing bus service between Wilson Station and Rogers Stadium on event days for those coming and going via TTC. You’ll find the pickup spot at the Upper Bus Platform on the southwest corner of the station.
