November is here and the 11th isn’t far behind. This year, whether you’re hoping to pay your respects online or in person there are plenty of incredible Remembrance Day ceremonies happening in Edmonton and around the country. Not sure where to tune in or what events to attend? Here are just a few worth your attention this month.
Held at Edmonton’s City Hall, this moving ceremony will honour the achievements and sacrifices of those who fought for our country in times of war and peace. Guests are asked to be seated no later than 9:55 a.m.

Where: 1 Sir Winston Churchill Square, Edmonton – City Room
Time: 10 am to 11:30 am
Honouring soldiers past and present, the annual ceremony at the Beverly Memorial Cenotaph has returned. In addition to the traditional moment of silence and wreath laying, this particular event will also have a procession.

Where: 4001 118 Ave NW, Edmonton
Time: 9:30 am
One of the largest in Canada, this incredible ceremony encourages all Canadians to remember those who have served and fallen in the military. During this service, people all over the country can pay their respects with a performance of the Last Post, prayers, two minutes of silence, and a 21-gun salute.

This November the city of Leduc will hold a moving ceremony at the Co-op Fieldhouse. If of course, you are unable to attend, this event will also be live-streamed on their website.

In or around the community of Beaumont? Edmontonians are encouraged to attend the annual November 11th ceremony which will be held in their new sports and recreation centre. Those who wish to lay a wreath should call or email before November 7th.
